Due to internal movement, we are seeking a dedicated Centre Cook to join us for 30 hours a week. Bring your passion for wholesome kai to a space where your culinary skills directly support the growth and independence of our tamariki.

We work together to support free movement and independence, empowering our older tamariki to even help with kai preparation. About you:
A genuine passion for creating wholesome kai that fuels our growing tamariki
Warm and approachable so building connections with our whānau comes naturally
Excellent organisational skills keep you completely on top of a busy kitchen
Confident managing everything from menu planning to a well stocked and sparkling clean space
A proactive mindset ensures food safety and hygiene are always your top priority
Previous experience cooking in an ECE or for large groups is a fantastic bonus
The mahi:
Preparing daily nutritious meals and snacks to fuel our tamariki for their busy days
Supporting older children to engage and help with kai preparation as part of their learning and independence
Completing the weekly grocery shop and managing kitchen expenditure reports for the Centre Manager
Ensuring all early childhood regulations regarding nutrition and safety are met consistently
Providing general assistance required to maintain the effective operation of the centre when needed
