As well as fueling our children with the right nutrients to grow and develop our Nourish menus support full, healthy tummies enabling clear minds to focus on the learning, setting children up to thrive at our centre.
Our in-house cooks provide freshly made meals for children each day using our Nourish menus and recipes. Through nourishing food, children are fuelled to thrive physically and mentally. They also experience the benefit of coming together and connecting as a group at mealtimes. Mealtimes are calm, fun, and social. Children are encouraged to develop manners and independent skills in serving food, regulate their own portions and clean up after meals.
Nourish is made up of seasonal (Summer and Winter) menus, with a wide variety of nourishing meals for the children at our centres.
Nourish recipes are dietitian approved and have been thoughtfully designed using the New Zealand Heart Foundation Tohu Manawa Ora | Healthy Heart Award for Early Learning Centres in line with the New Zealand Food & Nutrition Guidelines and the Ministry of Health Healthy Eating for Babies, Toddlers and Children.
Using healthy alternatives, we offer crowd favourites such as, Beef and Lentil Spaghetti Bolognaise, Butter Chicken and Macaroni Cheese with Cannellini Beans and vegetables. Other items you will see on the menu include Vegetable Pesto Pinwheel Scones, Carrot and Pineapple Muffins, Crackers and Cheese with Beetroot Dip!
