If you are looking for flexible, local mahi that fits around your life rather than the other way around, we would love to welcome you into our Busy Bees Aotearoa reliever whānau. We are looking for both Registered and Unregistered educators to join our relief pool across the motu.

About Busy Bees:
Busy Bees Aotearoa is a collaborative network of unique centres throughout New Zealand - from Northland to Oamaru. We value holistic care and the strong sense of community that comes from deep, respectful relationships. While each of our centres reflects its local community and unique environment, we are all united as one whānau with a shared commitment to high quality care and education.

About you:

  • Bring a steady, positive energy and a natural ability to connect with people.

  • Registered or unregistered kaiako with a genuine heart for nurturing, caring for, and supporting our little ones.

  • Possess a genuine heart for nurturing, caring for, and supporting our little ones.

  • Stay adaptable, quick to pick up new routines, and happy to help where needed most.

  • Value inclusive environments and feel comfortable working alongside a diverse team.

  • Communicate clearly to build trusting relationships with ease.

  • Stay anchored under pressure and enjoy being part of a professional, supportive culture.

  • This is a great fit if you are the person who walks into a room, reads it quickly, and adds to the strength of every team they join

                The mahi:

                • Move between different rooms and age groups to support our permanent kaiako.

                • Help guide daily activities, engage in play-based learning, and offer relational support.

                • Provide consistency and good energy as you slot into each new space.

                • Work alongside professional teams that value the fresh perspective you provide.

                • Support tamariki to feel safe, confident, and free to explore.

                • Help keep the day steady and child-centred across the centre.

                          Why you’ll love it here:

                          • Choose the days, hours, and locations that work best for your lifestyle or study.

                          • Enjoy rewarding mahi without the admin load or planning requirements of a permanent role.

                          • Gain experience across a variety of environments while backed by a large, supportive network.

                          • Discover different teaching philosophies and spaces while building professional skills.

                          • Join teams that genuinely appreciate the energy and support relievers bring to our whānau.

If you are flexible and at your best when helping different teams shine, we would love to hear from you.

                                  Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.

We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
