About us:

We value the strong community connections that make our Buller Street centre unique. Joining the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau gives you the professional stability of a national network within a local team that really knows and loves our community. Our mahi is deeply rooted in our community, from fortnightly kapa haka to visits from the library bus and spending time with our friends at Chalmers Rest Home. We take pride in our professional standards and our commitment to fostering curious, capable tamariki. Whether facilitating discovery in our natural outdoor spaces or supporting pathways to kura, you will be part of a supportive, connected team that truly cares for our community.

The mahi:

  • Guiding Learning Journeys: Using Te Whāriki as your base to plan and guide the educational and developmental journey of each child.

  • Documenting the Magic: Capturing and sharing high-quality assessments, ensuring each child's unique progress is celebrated with their families.

  • Fostering Connection: Creating a supportive and equitable atmosphere where relationships and a sense of belonging are prioritised.

  • Collaborative Practice: Building effective, positive relationships with the whole team and providing a warm, guiding hand for students and support staff.

  • Nurturing Excellence: Maintaining a safe environment where the physical care and safety of all tamariki are held to the highest standard.

About You:

  • You hold a recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current New Zealand teacher registration.

  • A warm communication style and the ability to build strong relationships.

  • You bring a proactive spirit and the integrity to act in ways that are fair and ethical.

  • A deep passion for Te Whāriki guides your daily practice and inspires fresh ideas.

  • You are confident using digital tools to document learning and keep our community connected.

Why you'll love it here

  • Full Pay Parity

  • Tap into a generous PLD budget to support your ongoing career growth.

Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.

We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
