ECE Registered Teacher Fixed Term | Hardykids Nelson

We are looking for a nurturing Registered Kaiako to join our team at Hardykids Nelson! As part of our team, you will work in a supportive, caring environment where your skills are valued, your creativity is encouraged, and your aroha shines through every day. Begin the year with us and help create a warm, inspiring space for our tamariki to learn and grow.

This is a full time 30 hour a week role for a fixed term period from January 2025 – June 2025, with opportunities to go permanent!

About us:

At Hardykids Early Learning Centre & Blossom House Nursery in Nelson, we believe children are unique and come with their own special strengths. Our centre has five age-appropriate rooms that flow through to their respective outdoor areas. Plenty of undercover space means children can be indoors or outdoors all year round. We promote the development of active and confident learners who think, question, seek information and apply knowledge to the best of their ability. 

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Huge reserves of enthusiasm and energy
• Competency in planning, curriculum and regular and emergent reviews
• A personality that builds and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/ whānau
• An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
• A nurturing, caring disposition, and passion for supporting young children to thrive
• The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whānau
• Excellent communication skills
