Are you someone who thrives on connection, enjoys keeping things organised, and finds joy in being around children?

We are on the lookout for a warm, capable and flexible team member to join our team as a Centre Administrator / Unregistered Teacher. This unique blended role offers the best of both worlds - supporting the smooth running of our centre through key administrative tasks, while also spending time with our tamariki in a nurturing, play-based environment.

About our centre:

At Busy Bees Pukekohe Early Education Centre we have a cosy nursery, a separate toddler space and an adventurous preschool environment. We promote the development of active and confident learners who think, question, seek information and apply knowledge to the best of their ability. Our team strongly value relationships with our centre whānau and wider community. This is something that we hold close to our hearts and incorporate into our programme on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Face to face interactions with parents, children and visitors to the Centre
  • Maintenance of our childcare management system (Discover) - data entry, data audits, parent invoicing and payment receipts
  • Answering and directing telephone calls, timely, accurately and professionally
  • Daily and weekly reports and data collation as required by the Centre Manager
  • Supplying information to our Support Office in line with daily and weekly reporting requirements
  • Support our teaching team on the floor as needed, fostering a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children

About You:

  • Strong administrative and computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and communication abilities
  • A calm, positive attitude and the ability to multitask across both admin and educator support responsibilities
  • Previous experience in an ECE environment and/or familiarity with Discover is advantageous but not essential
  • A genuine interest in early childhood education and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment

Why work for us?

  • Discounted childcare
  • Excellent induction programme
  • Ongoing training and mentoring
  • A monthly team wellbeing budget and access to EAP services
  • Working alongside a wonderful team who is passionate about delivering quality education and care for children

If you are someone who enjoys a varied role, values strong systems and enjoys contributing to a positive centre culture, we would love to hear from you. Apply now with your CV and Cover Letter to join a supportive, professional team making a real difference every day.

Please note: Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
