Want to teach in a centre where diversity is celebrated, rooms feel peaceful and intentional, and relationships are the real curriculum? We are looking for a Registered Teacher to join Busy Bees Grandview Road and help our tamariki grow with confidence, curiosity and a strong sense of belonging.
About us
Busy Bees Grandview Road is a multicultural centre with a reflective team and three clearly defined spaces for pēpi, teina and tuakana. You walk into rooms that are thoughtful and designed for child-led play. The team here care about pedagogy. Intentional teaching sits alongside open-ended play, with planned provocations, good questions and solid documentation in line with Te Whāriki. You will be joining colleagues who talk about practice, who are open to feedback, and who want to keep lifting what they do. Relationships with whānau are strong and genuine, which makes your work with tamariki richer and more grounded in their worlds. As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, we are supported by national systems and PLD while keeping our own centre identity.
About you:
You are a registered ECE or Primary trained kaiako who brings warmth, skill and curiosity to your teaching. You value well organised, aesthetically considered environments and know how to use them to invite rich, child-led learning. You are confident planning and documenting through Te Whāriki and enjoy weaving tuakana teina, intentional teaching and genuine child agency into everyday practice. You communicate clearly, work collaboratively and like being part of a reflective team that talks about practice and keeps lifting the bar together.
Why you’ll love it here:
Full Pay Parity
Discounted childcare
First aid certification, annual flu vaccination and staff uniform
Generous PLD budget where you choose what you want to grow in
Comprehensive induction, mentoring and coaching
