We are looking for an extraordinary person to lead our team of highly skilled teachers skilled teachers at Harewood Road.

About us:

The combination of Early Childhood experience within the Montessori Philosophy has led to the design and creation of the dynamic sensory-rich learning environment within the Nursery, Junior Room and Prep Room areas of Harewood Road Montessori. Our children can enjoy a holistic experience of indoor/outdoor learning in a creative child-centred environment, developing their love of learning, independence, and concentration.

About you:

As a centre manager you will lead with heart and purpose – supporting and guiding a team of passionate teachers. As well as being responsible for creating solid community relationships, compliance management, mentoring and driving exceptional standards of teaching, you will be an integral part of making decisions which will drive the future focus for the centre, both in terms of environment and education.
 

Role Requirements:

  • An inspirational leader with an innate ability to develop and lead a team to deliver best practice childcare services
  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Demonstrated leadership experience you will love to coach, mentor and inspire!
  • Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki
  • Familiarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of Ethics
  • A comprehensive understanding of how to maintain and grow occupancy levels
