Are you looking for mahi that fits around your life, and not the other way around?
House of Wonder Cambridge is on the lookout for casual relievers to support our beautiful centre on an as needed basis. Perfect for students, parents re-entering the workforce, or experienced kaiako who love variety and connection.
About us:
House of Wonder Cambridge is part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, so you get the feel of a close-knit centre with the backing of a nationwide whānau. We are a Reggio Emilia inspired centre where kaiako are trusted as professionals and co-researchers alongside tamariki. Our three well resourced, age appropriate rooms support calm, relationship based care, rich project work and playful school readiness. Sensory rich, natural environments, a Healthy Heart Award kai programme and regular community excursions mean you step into a programme that already centres hauora, inquiry and meaningful learning. This is a place where your ideas are taken seriously and you are supported to grow your practice, not just cover a shift.

About you:
You may be starting out or bringing years of experience. What matters most is that you are flexible and able to help at short notice, bring warmth, calm energy and a genuine love for working with tamariki, and communicate clearly with both colleagues and whānau. You respect relationships, enjoy being part of a collaborative team, and feel excited play based learning, or are keen to learn more. If you are naturally great with children, curious about how they learn and confident moving between different rooms and age groups, we would love to hear from you.
Why you’ll love it here:
You will enjoy casual hours that fit around your wider life and commitments, within a welcoming, supportive team who value manaakitanga and whanaungatanga. You will work in beautiful, thoughtfully designed learning environments and have opportunities to observe and grow your practice in a Reggio Emilia inspired setting. As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, you are also connected to a wider network of centres, leaders and professional learning.
If you have a genuine interest in caring for and supporting our little ones, and the flexibility to step in and help our team shine, we would love to meet you.
Please apply with your CV and a short cover letter telling us about yourself and your availability.
Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
