Are you ready for the next step in your ECE journey, where leadership, heart and learning come together every day?

Busy Bees Pukekohe is looking for a Registered ECE Team Leader who can guide and inspire our kaiako, champion quality practice and create the conditions for tamariki to truly thrive.

About us:
As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, you join a nationwide whānau of centres that genuinely invest in their people. Busy Bees Pukekohe is a centre where relationships, curiosity and professional growth sit at the heart of what we do. We have a cosy nursery for our pēpi in Pukeko Ruma, a busy, exploratory toddler space in Tui Ruma, and an adventurous preschool environment in Kiwi Ruma, including a dedicated outdoor area that invites challenge and connection with the natural world. You will be part of a team that enjoys working together, values honest kōrero and celebrates the small moments of progress for tamariki and teachers. Our Nourish dietitian designed menus, our Healthy Heart journey and a considered transition to school programme give you plenty of scope to weave hauora, key competencies and real life learning into your practice. This is a centre where your ideas are welcomed and your leadership can genuinely shape the programme and team culture.

The mahi:
In this role you will lead and support a team of kaiako to deliver high quality learning and care, model reflective practice and mentor others, guide purposeful and manageable planning and assessment, shape environments and routines that work for tamariki and teachers, build strong relationships with tamariki and whānau, and hold clear expectations for curriculum, documentation and compliance.

About you:

You will bring a Level 7 ECE qualification (or NZQA equivalent), current full or provisional registration, and experience leading, mentoring or stepping up within a team. You are calm, approachable and confident having honest, supportive conversations with kaiako and whānau. You care deeply about equity, te Tiriti honouring practice and ongoing learning, and you enjoy creating rich, inclusive environments where every tamaiti and every teacher can grow.

Why you’ll love it here:

  • Full Pay Parity!
  • A comprehensive induction program with regular and ongoing mentoring
  • Discounted childcare
  • First Aid certification, annual flu vaccination and staff uniforms
  • A generous PLD budget where you can choose PLD for your own learning
  • A monthly staff wellbeing budget and access to EAP services
  • A supportive and highly skilled team to work alongside

If you're a Registered Teacher eager to advance your career in ECE, we're excited to connect with you! Take the leap and apply today to become a valued member of our team, where innovation and creativity are welcomed!

Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
