NZ - Registered Teacher
Are you a Registered Teacher who thrives in creative, collaborative environments where children lead their own learning? We are looking for a kaiako to join Busy Bees Hobsonville in a part time role (20 hours per week) and help shape meaningful, curiosity-filled experiences across our Reggio Emilia inspired classrooms.
About us:
Busy Bees Hobsonville is a Reggio Emilia inspired centre where creativity, communication and community shape each day. Our six age-specific classrooms offer variety for kaiako and space for tuakana teina relationships to grow. Beautiful provocations, natural resources and project-based learning sit at the heart of our practice, with community walks, cultural events and sustainability projects enriching our local curriculum. Nourishing, dietitian designed meals support wellbeing, and as part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, kaiako are backed by strong systems, growth pathways and a leadership team who value collaboration and creativity.
About you:
You hold an ECE or Primary qualification and current NZ teacher registration. Creative, reflective teaching comes naturally to you, and you enjoy guiding child-led learning in environments rich with possibility. Strong communication, teamwork and a warm, steady presence help you build trusting relationships with tamariki and whānau. You feel confident with planning, curriculum and emergent projects, and you love working in a centre where curiosity, expression and connection shape every experience.
As a valued teacher of Busy Bees, we can offer you a great benefit package including:
Full Pay Parity!
A monthly staff wellbeing budget and access to EAP services
A comprehensive induction program with regular and ongoing mentoring and relevant professional development opportunities
Discount childcare
First Aid certification and annual flu vaccination
Uniforms
Ongoing opportunities for career growth & personal and professional development
If this sounds like the next step in your teaching journey, we would love to hear from you. Please apply with your CV and cover letter.
Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
We are an Accredited Employer.
