NZ - Registered Teacher
Do you love variety, strong relationships and the freedom to bring your teaching strengths into new spaces? We are looking for Registered Teachers to join our Wellington reliever pool and support our kaiako across Silverstream, Whitby and Brooklyn. Whether you prefer to stay close to one centre or move between all three, you will be welcomed into teams who value warmth, collaboration and responsive, child-led practice.
The mahi:
As a reliever, no two days look the same. You might be settling pēpi, guiding toddler exploration or supporting rich learning with older tamariki. You will be backed by kaiako who communicate clearly, work as a team and appreciate the fresh energy, flexibility and professionalism you bring. You choose your availability and the locations you prefer, making this role ideal for teachers who want balance, movement and meaningful work without the admin load.
About our Wellington centres:
Silverstream offers a nature-rich, holistic environment with thoughtful routines, strong whānau partnerships and kaiako who specialise in responsive, relationship-based care.
Whitby brings big outdoor spaces, natural environments and a calm, well-resourced setting where transitions are intentional and relationships lead learning.
Brooklyn offers a values-driven, community-centred environment shaped by manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and identity, where kaiako support tamariki to explore, express themselves and grow confident in who they are.
About you:
You hold an ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current NZ teacher registration. You bring steady energy, adaptability and a genuine love for working across different age groups. You communicate clearly, build trusting relationships quickly and create play-based experiences that respond to children’s ideas in the moment.
Why relieving with us works:
Real flexibility. You set your availability and we match shifts that suit.
A supportive crew. Clear handovers, kind guidance, and a team that values you.
Beautiful, well-resourced spaces that make great teaching feel natural.
Nature-led environments that celebrate wonder and growth
If you want flexibility, variety and teaching that feels purposeful, we’d love to have you in our reliever whānau. Apply with your CV and cover letter.
Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
