Lead with purpose. Shape a culture. Nurture a centre where nature and community shape every day.
We are seeking a people-centred Centre Manager for Busy Bees Judsons Road, a spacious, nature-rich centre in Woodend where relationships, community and sustainability sit at the heart of everyday learning. You will walk alongside a passionate team of kaiako, uplifting great practice, holding high standards with warmth, and creating a place where teachers feel proud to work and tamariki feel known.
About us:
Busy Bees Judsons Road is a spacious, nature-rich, well-resourced centre in Woodend with clear spaces for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, including a strong school readiness focus. Tamariki spend much of their day outdoors on natural grass and in the gardens, with kaiako alongside them weaving Te Whāriki through playful exploration, early literacy and numeracy, and social and emotional learning. You’d be stepping into a centre with an established, committed team, engaged whānau and strong links to the local community, where sustainability, kaitiakitanga and healthy kai are part of everyday practice. As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, you are backed by national support, systems and leadership development, while still having the autonomy to shape Judsons Road’s culture, curriculum focus and community relationships.
About you:
You are a fully registered ECE teacher with proven leadership strengths. You know how to hold a vision and bring people with you, building a positive culture through open communication and coaching. You guide high quality, play-based practice aligned with Te Whāriki, understand occupancy and community engagement, and value strong school readiness pathways. You bring strong organisational skills, a calm, steady presence and the ability to turn shared values into daily expectations.
Why you’ll love it here:
A competitive remuneration package
Time out of ratio dedicated to leadership and coaching
Leadership development across Busy Bees Aotearoa
Monthly staff wellbeing budget and EAP access
Ongoing PLD, mentoring and organisational support
Subsidised childcare if applicable, First Aid certification, uniform and annual flu vaccination
The backing of a large values-driven organisation that celebrates each centre’s identity
Ready to lead a centre with heart? This is your opportunity to shape the future of Busy Bees Judsons Road and guide a team committed to meaningful relationships and high quality teaching.
Apply with your CV and cover letter.
Applicants must hold NZ residency or a valid work visa and a full driver licence.
