Teach in a centre where nature is real grass under your feet, community is close by, and school readiness is woven through play. We are looking for a Registered Teacher to join Busy Bees Judsons Road for 30 hours per week and help tamariki grow in confidence, curiosity and care for the world around them.
About us:
Busy Bees Judsons Road is a spacious, nature-rich centre with four age-based rooms and big outdoor areas for under and over twos. Tamariki spend a lot of time outside on real grass, in gardens, at the compost and worm farm, and exploring bugs and plants with kaiako alongside them. Inside, rooms are set up for sensory exploration, messy play, creativity and early literacy and numeracy. Our dedicated school readiness room works closely with local schools, using programmes like Little Learners Love Literacy, weekly lunchbox days and visits to Woodend School to build independence, social confidence and a genuine love of learning. Sustainability, kaitiakitanga and Nourish-inspired kai are part of everyday practice, and as part of Busy Bees Aotearoa you are backed by national systems and PLD while still enjoying Judsons Road’s strong community feel.
About you:
You are a registered ECE or Primary trained kaiako who brings warmth, energy and reflective thinking to your teaching. You enjoy nature-rich, active environments and know how to turn outdoor exploration into real learning. You are confident planning, assessing and documenting through Te Whāriki and you value tuakana teina, social competence and strong school readiness pathways. You communicate clearly with tamariki, whānau and your team, keep supervision tight and champion inclusive, relationship based practice.
Why you’ll love it here:
• Full Pay Parity
• Discounted childcare
• First aid certification, annual flu vaccination and uniform
• Generous PLD budget where you choose your focus
• Induction, mentoring and ongoing support from Busy Bees Aotearoa
• A centre culture that values relationships, sustainability and real, play based learning

Applicants must hold NZ residency or a valid work visa and a full driver licence.
