Are you a relational leader who believes that strong community roots are the foundation of great learning? This Team Leader role is an invitation to mentor kaiako, shape practice, and foster a deep sense of belonging for our tamariki. You will stay hands-on in the rooms, leading a team dedicated to building trusting relationships and empowering children as lifelong learners.
About Us:
Busy Bees Woodend is a community-embedded centre where whanaungatanga is at the heart of our practice. We offer stimulating areas for exploration, including a separate nursery and preschool, alongside shared spaces for tuakana-teina interactions. Our tamariki enjoy a fantastic backyard play area that was fully revamped in 2022, providing a high-quality outdoor environment. We are passionate about our local Woodend community; whether it’s supporting local businesses, collaborating with Woodend School, or exploring on excursions, we use our surroundings to build children's working theories. As part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, you are supported by robust professional systems and a nationwide network that invests in your leadership growth and career pathways.

Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.
We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
