Imagine a teaching day where the rhythm of the ocean sets the pace, where the salt air inspires curiosity, and where every child is celebrated as a unique and precious taonga.
We are currently looking for an inspiring, passionate and talented teacher to join us at our centre in Little Manly! As a kaiako with us, you will have the incredible opportunity to ignite the spark of inspiration within our tamariki and nurture their love for learning!
About us:
Little Coasties is a place where we treat the local beach as our second classroom, located just a short stroll from the water and fresh coastal breezes. We believe in unhurried routines and giving our team the autonomy to be co-researchers alongside the children, fostering a space where reflective thinking and child-led discovery are at the heart of every day. Whether you are leading the team as a Centre Manager or supporting our daily operations as a member of our support staff, you will be part of a community that is truly passionate about sustainability and wholesome living. While we maintain the intimate feel of a coastal sanctuary, being part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau means you are backed by a national network that is serious about professional growth, full pay parity, and providing the career pathways you need to flourish.
About you:
You will be a warm, proactive and excellent communicator who prioritises Whanaungatanga and building respectful, reciprocal relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues. You must hold a recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification and maintain a current New Zealand teacher registration. With a deep understanding of Te Whāriki, you are confident in your practice and committed to delivering high quality outcomes for all children.
Why you'll love it here:
Full Pay Parity!
Discounted childcare
Full reimbursement for teacher registration costs
First Aid certification, annual flu vaccination and a uniform
A comprehensive induction program with regular and ongoing mentoring and professional development
A healthy resource budget
A monthly staff wellbeing budget and access to EAP services
A fun and supportive team who have established wonderful relationships
If you are ready to swap the ordinary for the extraordinary and find your place in our seaside whānau, we would love to hear from you. Come and help us weave magic by the shore. Apply today!
Please note: Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.
We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
