About us:
At Busy Bees Pioneer Highway, we are a team that values connection and a strong sense of place. Joining the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau gives you national support within a local team that really feels like home. Every role is essential to our daily flow, from our kitchen to our spacious backyard where discovery happens every day. We work together across our purpose-built nursery and preschool spaces to foster independence and support the growth of every tamaiti. About you:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Professional Heart: A recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current New Zealand teacher registration.
A Gift for Connection: Excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable nature that makes whānau and tamariki feel truly at home.
A Proactive Spirit: The initiative to continually look for improvements and the integrity to act in ways that are fair and ethical.
Pedagogical Passion: A deep commitment to Te Whāriki and an interest in experimenting and innovating with core philosophies.
Technical Ease: Confidence using the digital tools that help us document learning and stay connected with our community.
The mahi:
You will be an essential part of the team, making sure every day is full of discovery and meaningful moments for our tamariki. Your focus will be on:
Guiding Learning Journeys: Using Te Whāriki as your base to plan and guide the educational and developmental journey of each child.
Documenting the Magic: Capturing and sharing high-quality assessments, ensuring each child's unique progress is celebrated with their whānau.
Fostering Connection: Creating a supportive and equitable atmosphere where whanaungatanga and a sense of belonging are prioritised.
Collaborative Practice: Building effective, positive relationships with the whole team and providing a warm, guiding hand for student teachers and helpers.
Nurturing Excellence: Maintaining a beautiful and safe environment where the physical care and safety of all tamariki are held to the highest standard.
Why you’ll love it here:
Financial Recognition: We provide Full Pay Parity for our Registered Teachers to ensure your expertise is fairly rewarded.
Growth and Mentoring: Access a generous PLD budget and regular registration mentoring to support your professional journey.
Holistic Wellbeing: Enjoy monthly wellbeing initiatives, EAP access, and covered costs for your annual flu vax and First Aid certification.
Practical Support: To make your workday easier, we offer discounted childcare fees and staff uniforms.
If you are ready to join a team that values your heart, your skills, and your connection to community, we would love to hear from you
