A rare and exciting opportunity has opened up to join our well-established infants and toddlers space. We are looking for a Registered Teacher who is specifically passionate about the under-twos age group to join our close-knit team for 20-25 hours a week. This position has only become available as one of our beautiful kaiako heads off to be a full-time mum, making this a special chance to join a nursery team that hasn't seen staff turnover in years.
About us:
At Busy Bees Richmond, we are a team that values holistic care and the strong sense of community that comes from deep, respectful relationships. Joining the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau gives you national support within a local team that feels like family. Every role is vital to our day, from the kitchen where we prepare Healthy Heart awarded meals to the spaces where our tamariki grow and explore. We work together across rooms to foster independence and celebrate the individual successes of every child. We take pride in our close-knit connections with local schools and the way we support our older tamariki through their transition visits. Join a supportive environment where your unique skills are celebrated and whanaungatanga is at the heart of every day.
The Mahi | You will be an essential part of our infants and toddlers team, ensuring our youngest tamariki receive the best start in a stable and loving environment. Your focus will be on:
Guiding Learning Journeys: Using Te Whāriki to plan and guide the developmental journey of our pēpi and toddlers.
Nurturing Excellence: Providing high-quality physical care and emotional support tailored to the unique needs of the under-twos.
Documenting the Magic: Capturing and sharing the tiny victories and milestones of each child with their whānau.
Collaborative Practice: Working alongside a settled, experienced team to maintain a peaceful and purposeful space for discovery.
Fostering Connection: Building deep, respectful relationships with parents to ensure a consistent and supportive experience for every child.
About You | To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current New Zealand teacher registration.
A Gift for Connection: Excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable nature that makes people feel truly at home.
A Proactive Spirit: The initiative to continually look for improvements and the integrity to act in ways that are fair and ethical.
Pedagogical Passion: A deep commitment to Te Whāriki and an interest in innovating with core philosophies like Reggio Emilia.
Technical Ease: Confidence using the digital tools that help us document learning and stay connected with our community.
A Passion for Under-Twos: A genuine love for the infant and toddler stage and a desire to work in a stable, long-term team.
