If you love stepping into different rooms and bringing a calm, capable energy to every space you enter, we would love to have you in our registered reliever pool at Busy Bees Masterton. We are looking for qualified kaiako who want to make a meaningful difference while enjoying a role that offers true balance and variety.
About us:
At Busy Bees Masterton, we are a team that values giving our tamariki the roots to grow and the wings to fly. Joining the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau gives you national support within a local team nestled in Lansdowne, where the songs of Tūī on Te Ore Ore Road aligns with our nurturing environment. Every role is essential to our daily flow, from our kitchen where our cook prepares fresh, Nourish-approved meals to the mahi in our spacious indoor and outdoor spaces. We work together to foster discovery and happiness, supporting both tuakana-teina interactions and the individual growth of every tamaiti. Whether you are facilitating sensory play or keeping our centre running smoothly behind the scenes, you will be part of a supportive whānau that celebrates our multicultural community. Join a team where your unique skills are valued and whanaungatanga is at the heart of our mahi.
About you:
You hold an ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current NZ teacher registration.
You bring a warm, steady presence and a genuine love for nurturing young children.
You are adaptable and enjoy working across different age groups and environments.
You communicate clearly and build trust quickly with both tamariki and kaiako.
You value bicultural practice and feel comfortable weaving te reo Māori and tikanga into the day.
You stay anchored under pressure and enjoy contributing to a professional, positive culture.
The mahi:
As a reliever, you will move between spaces to support our permanent kaiako and keep the day child centred. You will facilitate sensory play and engage in play-based learning that responds to children’s interests while helping to guide daily routines and ensuring tamariki feel safe, supported, and seen. Your work includes supporting tuakana-teina interactions and the individual growth of every tamaiti, offering calm, relational support as you slot into each room and team to uphold high-quality teaching practice while maintaining a smooth centre flow.
Why you’ll love it here:
Total flexibility. You choose the days and frequency you work so your mahi fits perfectly around your lifestyle.
Rewarding environments. Gain experience in a supportive setting where your unique teaching skills are celebrated.
A valued role. Join a professional team that genuinely appreciates the energy and expertise you bring to the centre.
Community connection. Work in a multicultural environment that prioritises nature, discovery and happiness.
Ready to jump in when it counts? Apply today with your CV and a short cover letter. We look forward to hearing from you.
