Bring your passion for teaching to a fixed term registered kaiako role at Busy Bees Stoke, running until January 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an inclusive Nelson whānau guided by Aroha and Whanaungatanga, where every individual is celebrated.

About us:

Busy Bees Stoke is an inclusive whānau built on the rich history of the land we stand on. We honour the stories of Awa Iti and Awa Nui, the life-giving waters that once flowed through this vibrant landscape, and we see our role as kaiako and support staff as a continuation of that flow, passing down knowledge to nourish the roots of the next generation. Our environment is one of intentional and curious exploration, where play-based learning allows children the time and space to truly understand their world. While we are deeply rooted in our Nelson community, being part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa network provides the professional security and career pathways that allow our entire team to flourish.

About you:

  • You hold a recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current New Zealand teacher registration.

  • A warm communication style and the ability to build strong relationships.

  • You bring a proactive spirit and the integrity to act in ways that are fair and ethical.

  • A deep passion for Te Whāriki guides your daily practice and inspires fresh ideas.

  • You are confident using digital tools to document learning and keep our community connected.

The Mahi:

  • Draw on Te Whāriki as your base to purposefully plan and guide the educational and developmental journey of each child.

  • Celebrate the magic of learning by capturing and sharing high-quality assessments so every child's unique progress can be shared with their whānau.

  • Your warm approach will help create a supportive, equitable atmosphere where a sense of belonging is prioritised.

  • Work collaboratively to build positive relationships across the team, offering a guiding hand to students and support staff.

  • Maintain a beautiful, safe environment where the physical care and wellbeing of all tamariki are held to the highest possible standard.

Why you'll love it here:

  • We offer Full Pay Parity!

  • Tap into a generous PLD budget to support your ongoing career growth.

  • Your holistic health is backed by monthly wellbeing initiatives and EAP access.

  • We cover the costs of your annual flu vaccinations and First Aid certification.

Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.

We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
