The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager plays a crucial role in guiding the financial strategy and decision-making process at Busy Bees Aotearoa.

This role is based on-site in beautiful Orewa, at the Busy Bees Aotearoa Support Office.

The Opportunity | Te Āheinga 

The FP&A Manager is responsible for supporting the CFO and wider organisation by providing high-quality financial information, analysis and support
to the functional and operational areas within Busy Bees Aotearoa.

This includes:

  • Analysing and interpreting financial data to create forecasts, budgets and reports with insights into the business performance and potential risks

  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends

  • Robust financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc analytical requirements using system reports from multiple data sets and platforms

  • Relationship building with people at all levels across the business
    locally, globally (Head Office in the UK) and external to the company

  • Being a strategic advisor to the CFO and working closely with the SLT members to develop strategic plans and initiatives, ensuring financial objectives are met

  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights and recommendations

About You | Mōu 

The FP&A Manager will have a curious mindset, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to explain complex information in simple and easy to understand ways. Skills and experience will include:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A or Finance Business Partnering in a commercial organisation, ideally as part of a global firm

  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) 

  • Proven proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with financial / ERP software

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making

  • Strong organisational skills and experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously

  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
