About us:

Based on Featherston Street, at our Busy Bees centre we value every child and see them as unique and a special taonga. We work with whānau, tamariki and our community to provide a Montessori programme for education within the framework of Te Whāriki. We aim to nurture the development of tamariki from infancy to early childhood fostering their natural desire for independence, exploration and self-discovery within our specially prepared environments. We aim to teach in ways that enable learners to learn from one another, to collaborate, to self-regulate and to develop agency over their learning. 

About You:

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a high standard of care to all our children and have a warm, caring and kind disposition. You will be an outstanding communicator, friendly, approachable and enjoy a challenge.   A genuine passion and ability to respond to the development needs of our tamariki through planning and curriculum would also be high on the list of skills we are looking for. An ECE or Primary NZ Qualification and a NZ Teachers Practising certificate is a must!
