Do you love seeing tamariki light up with excitement as they discover the world around them?

We are on the lookout for a part time registered kaiako to join our team at Busy Bees Onehunga!  Join us to nurture curiosity, build strong relationships, and create meaningful learning experiences that set our tamariki up for lifelong success.

This part time role offers 27 hours from Monday to Friday on a roaster basis – perfect if you are looking for a better work-life balance!

About us:

Busy Bees Onehunga is a boutique centre with a homely feel. Our children and their families are at the heart of everything we do. Gaining inspiration from a range of learning philosophies, we have created our own vision which reflects our children, families and changing community.

We believe in a child centred environment where we take the time to listen to children and provoke thought. We aim to excite and inspire those in our care and understand the importance of scaffolding children to make their own choices when learning. We give children the opportunity to find their voice and creatively express themselves.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Huge reserves of enthusiasm and energy
  • Competency in planning, curriculum and regular and emergent reviews
  • A personality that builds and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/whanau
  • An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
  • A nurturing, caring disposition, and passion for supporting young children to thrive
  • The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whanau
  • Excellent communication skills
