NZ - Registered Teacher
Do you love seeing tamariki light up as they discover the world around them in a warm, homely space?
We’re looking for a part time registered kaiako to join our team at Busy Bees Onehunga for 24 hours per week, worked across three days. Join us to nurture curiosity, build strong relationships, and create meaningful learning experiences that set our tamariki up for life.
About us:
Busy Bees Onehunga is part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, so you get the support of a nationwide organisation with the feel of a close knit local centre. We are a boutique service with genuine home away from home energy, where children and their families sit at the heart of everything we do.
Our philosophy, “Passionately preparing little people for life”, guides our practice. We draw on a range of learning philosophies to create a child centred environment where we listen closely, provoke thought and scaffold tamariki to make their own choices in learning. Children are encouraged to find their voice, express themselves creatively and learn alongside their peers and kaiako. Shared kai, fresh meals from our in house cook and regular baking together turn everyday moments into rich learning and connection.
About you:
You hold an ECE or Primary teaching qualification with current NZ registration and bring a nurturing, caring presence. You communicate clearly, build strong, responsive relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues and have solid competency in planning, curriculum and both regular and emergent reviews. You carry good energy into the room, notice children’s needs and ideas, and are passionate about supporting young children to thrive in an inclusive, respectful environment.
Why you’ll love it here:
Full Pay Parity!
A monthly staff wellbeing budget and access to EAP services
A comprehensive induction program with regular and ongoing mentoring and relevant professional development opportunities
Discount childcare
First Aid certification and annual flu vaccination
Uniforms
Ongoing opportunities for career growth & personal and professional development
