Step into a vibrant environment where authenticity and curiosity drive every day. At Busy Bees Rosedale, we are looking for a Registered Kaiako who values a "home away from home" atmosphere and isn't afraid to bring a bit of silliness and laughter to their practice. Join a team that celebrates your unique contribution while empowering tamariki to become independent, lifelong learners.
About us:
At Busy Bees Rosedale, we are a team that values authenticity and curiosity in everything we do. Joining the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau gives you national support within a local team that really feels like a home away from home. Every role is vital to our day, from our passionate cook preparing Healthy Heart awarded meals to the mahi in our five unique rooms. Inspired by Reggio Emilia, we work together across spaces like Fern and Kauri to foster independence and a love for discovery through natural resources. Whether you are supporting our youngest pēpi or helping our oldest tamariki transition to kura, you will be part of a supportive environment. Join a whānau where silliness and laughter are celebrated and your unique contribution is truly valued.
The mahi:
Use Te Whāriki to plan and guide the educational and developmental journey of each child.
Maintain high-quality assessment and evaluation, ensuring each child's profile is updated and shared with whānau through our online portals.
Create a supportive, relaxed atmosphere that respects diverse values and fosters inclusive attitudes.
Maintain effective working relationships with the whole team and provide support for parent helpers and students.
Ensure the physical care, safety, and hygiene of all tamariki are maintained to the highest standards.
About you:
You are a heart-centred and professional kaiako who holds a recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current New Zealand registration. With excellent communication skills and a very warm, approachable nature, you find it easy to build deep, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues alike. You bring a proactive spirit to your mahi, demonstrating the initiative to continually look for improvements and the integrity to act in ways that are fair, ethical, and just. Deeply committed to the foundations of Te Whāriki, you enjoy experimenting and innovating with core philosophies while using your technical ease to document and share the magic of each child's journey.
Why you’ll love it here:
Financial Recognition: We provide Full Pay Parity for our Registered Teachers to ensure your expertise is fairly rewarded.
Growth and Mentoring: Access a generous PLD budget and regular registration mentoring to support your professional growth.
Holistic Wellbeing: Enjoy monthly wellbeing initiatives, EAP access, and covered costs for your annual flu vax and First Aid certification.
Practical Support: To make your workday easier, we offer discounted childcare fees, provided staff uniforms, and on-site staff parking.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ECE kaiako with a heart to grow our future generation. We would love to hear from you.
Please note: Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
