If you love the energy of stepping into a warm community and bringing a calm, capable presence to the team, we would love to welcome you into our reliever whānau at Busy Bees Brooklyn. We are looking for unregistered relief teachers who want to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives.
About us:
Busy Bees Brooklyn is proud to be part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, providing national support within a local team that acts as a supportive village for our tamariki. Grounded in the proverb "Tangata ako ana e te kāenga, te tūranga ki te marae, tau ana," we believe that those nurtured in the community contribute strongly to society. Our centre features dedicated Kākano and Kōhuri spaces where curiosity is transformed into knowledge. Much like the local turbines that power our area, our team works together with energy and intention to celebrate every unique culture and ability in an environment grounded in aroha.
About you:
You bring a steady, positive energy.
A high level of adaptability, read the room quickly, and enjoy variety.
You value inclusive environments and are comfortable working alongside a diverse team.
Clear communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with ease.
You stay anchored under pressure and enjoy contributing to environments where children feel safe and seen.
The mahi:
As a reliever, no two days look the same as you move between our Kākano and Kōhuri spaces to support our permanent kaiako. Your work will involve helping guide daily activities, engaging in play-based learning, and offering the relational support that helps children feel safe and confident. You will bring consistency and good energy as you slot into each space, working alongside a professional team that values the fresh perspective and assistance you provide to keep the day steady and child centred.
Why you’ll love it here:
Gain experience in a supportive setting where your unique teaching skills are celebrated.
Join a team that genuinely appreciates your energy and expertise.
Work in a multicultural environment that prioritises nature, discovery and happiness.
Total flexibility. You choose the days and frequency you work!
Ready to jump in when it counts? Apply today with your CV and a short cover letter. We look forward to hearing from you.
Please note: Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.
We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
