Bring your passion for teaching to a 30-hour, part time registered kaiako role at Busy Bees Te Kauwhata. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a trusted local team and empower children to build independence and curiosity.

About us:

Here, we value the trust and warm relationships that make our modern centre a local favourite. Joining the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau gives you the professional stability of a national network while working alongside a passionate team that really knows the community. Every role is vital, whether you are facilitating discovery in our natural gardens or supporting tamariki in our learning-focused preschool rooms. We work together to create calming, inviting spaces where meaningful conversations flourish and children are empowered to build independence. Join a supportive team where your unique skills are celebrated and whanaungatanga is at the heart of our mahi.

About you:

  • You hold a recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current New Zealand teacher registration.

  • A warm communication style and the ability to build strong relationships.

  • You bring a proactive spirit and the integrity to act in ways that are fair and ethical.

  • A deep passion for Te Whāriki guides your daily practice and inspires fresh ideas.

  • You are confident using digital tools to document learning and keep our community connected.

The Mahi:

  • Draw on Te Whāriki as your base to purposefully plan and guide the educational and developmental journey of each child.

  • Celebrate the magic of learning by capturing and sharing high-quality assessments so every child's unique progress can be shared with their whānau.

  • Your warm approach will help create a supportive, equitable atmosphere where a sense of belonging is prioritised.

  • Work collaboratively to build positive relationships across the team, offering a guiding hand to students and support staff.

  • Maintain a beautiful, safe environment where the physical care and wellbeing of all tamariki are held to the highest possible standard.

Why you'll love it here:

  • We offer Full Pay Parity!

  • Tap into a generous PLD budget to support your ongoing career growth.

  • Your holistic health is backed by monthly wellbeing initiatives and EAP access.

  • We cover the costs of your annual flu vaccinations and First Aid certification.

  • Make the workday easier with discounted childcare fees and provided staff uniforms.

If you are an experienced or emerging teacher ready to join our modern Te Kauwhata centre and foster meaningful discovery in our natural gardens, please apply with your CV and a short cover letter.

Please note: Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.

We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
